Job Description
Our client, a prominent organisation within the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a DV Cleared Application Specialist for a contract role. The successful applicant will work within a Special Projects Tactical Communications development team, focussing on the installation, implementation, and integration of COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf), MOTS (Modified Off-The-Shelf), and MOD (Ministry of Defence) applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, implement, and integrate various types of applications including COTS, MOTS, and MOD applications
- Provide expertise as an applications DBA (Database Administrator)
- Ensure smooth operation and maintenance of Oracle Applications
- Collaborate with team members at Site A (West Midlands) and Malvern to meet project goals
- Maintain high standards of security and confidentiality aligned with DV Clearance requirements
- Support tactical communications projects within the development team
- Proactively identify and troubleshoot application-related issues
- Document procedures and maintain comprehensive records for all implemented applications
Job Requirements:
- Experience in applications DBA functions
- Proficiency with Oracle Applications
- Demonstrable experience with installation, implementation, and integration of applications
- DV Clearance is mandatory
- Willingness to attend sites in the West Midlands and Malvern
- Experience in the Defence & Security sector is highly advantageous
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Contract Details:
- Start date between 15th to 23rd November
- Contract extends to at least August 2026
- Role falls inside IR35
