This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well established successful manufacturer who are well respected within their industries. This is a role where you will be heavily involved in NPD and help shape the success of the business moving forward.

This role would suit mechanical design engineers from a manufacturing background. You must have proven experience with 3D design, design from scratch, design for manufacture/assembly and managing multiple design projects at a time. You will ideally understand a range of manufacturing processes and have experience with SolidWorks.

You will work on multiple design projects at a time and liaise internally with differing departments to deliver on their design requirements. The role is mostly NPD and design from scratch. You will also occasionally be involved in reverse engineering and remodification of existing designs. As part of your role, you will be responsible for design support across the business which is inclusive of updating of engineering drawings and designs.

The Design Engineer Role:

Design for manufacture

3D Design using SolidWorks

Design from Scratch

Reverse engineering, remodification of existing design

Planning and managing multiple design projects simultaneously

Design support across a range of manufacturing businesses

Monday to Friday

The Design Engineer:

Must transfer from a manufacturing background

Must have a strong mechanical engineering background

Will ideally have SolidWorks or similar 3D design experience

Must have a good understanding of manufacturing and assembly

Must be happy to work on site, Monday to Friday.
