Job Description

QA/QC Mechanical Completions Inspector needed for a Major Offshore Wind developer in the Netherlands.

Responsibilities:

  • Verify that all mechanical systems are fully completed and compliant with design, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Conduct mechanical completion checks and inspections prior to system handover to commissioning.
  • Monitor and drive subcontractors to ensure timely completion of mechanical works.
  • Track and report progress of construction and completion activities.
  • Review and verify test packs, as-built documentation, and inspection records.
  • Ensure punch lists are created, tracked, and closed prior to handover.
  • Coordinate closely between construction, QA/QC, and commissioning teams to ensure smooth system turnover.
  • Collect, control, and submit handover documentation in line with project requirements.
  • Identify and report any non-conformances or quality issues, ensuring corrective actions are implemented.
  • Support commissioning by ensuring all mechanical systems are ready for energization and testing.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Completion Inspector, QA/QC Inspector, or Mechanical Inspector on industrial projects.
  • Strong background in mechanical construction and system completion processes.
  • Experience with QA/QC procedures, test packs, punch lists, and handover documentation.
  • Good understanding of mechanical systems such as piping, pressure vessels, rotating/static equipment, and utilities.
  • Hands-on, proactive attitude - able to push progress and follow up on issues independently.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality and compliance.
  • Experience working on construction or commissioning projects within oil & gas, petrochemical, or heavy industry sectors.
  • Eligible to work in the EU (EU nationality or valid work permit).
