Senior AI/Front End Developer London

We are seeking a Senior Front End/AI Developer with strong React and AI expertise to lead the transformation of our eCommerce platforms. You will play a key role in modernising our Front End architecture and integrating AI-powered solutions to enhance user experience, development workflows, and business performance.
About the Role
you'll drive the next generation of our customer-facing applications, using React and modern Front End technologies to deliver fast, intuitive, and intelligent interfaces. Working closely with product, design, and Back End teams, you'll also leverage AI tools to optimise development, automate testing, and create smarter user interactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the rebuild of Front End applications using React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and supporting frameworks
- Integrate AI-powered features into the user experience (eg, personalised recommendations, intelligent search)
- Use AI developer tools (eg, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Tabnine) to boost productivity and maintain code quality
- Collaborate with designers and Back End engineers to deliver seamless, scalable solutions
- Mentor junior Front End developers, promoting best practices and innovation
Essential Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years Front End development experience, with deep expertise in React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Proven experience using AI tools in a development context
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, JSON, and Front End performance optimisation
- Familiarity with cloud platforms and CI/CD workflows
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
