GCP / Analytics Consultant - Insurance

Global Insurance Firm is hiring for a Google Cloud Platform/ Analytics Consultant to join their team in the City. This is a permanent role, and the salary ranges between 68K - 80K + Bonus + Benefits. Hybrid working policy with 3 days in the office per week.

Responsibilities include:
- Design and deploy analytical models and dashboards to uncover insights, predict trends, and inform decision-making.
- Provide data support to business transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and digital innovation goals.
- Manage JIRA project tracking, maintain Confluence documentation, and oversee code design for efficient development and collaboration.
- Lead technical design and implementation of data models, ETL processes, and visualisation tools (BigQuery, Airflow, SSIS, Tableau, SSRS).
- Define and implement best practices in data modeling, including data warehouse and lakehouse integration (Medallion Architecture).

Skills and Experience:
- Strong understanding of structured data management and enterprise data best practices.
- Proven experience implementing Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and operational dashboards.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft BI Stack: SSIS, SSRS
- Strong SQL Server skills and SQL querying experience
- Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform tools including: BigQuery; Composer; Apache Airflow; Stream; Informatica; Vertex AI
- Tableau dashboard development and reporting
- Python programming for data analysis
- Data modelling (warehouse, lakehouse, medallion architecture)
- Understanding of financial and insurance data models
- Insurance experience, ideally with knowledge of key industry metrics
