Would you like to work for one of Edinburgh's oldest, most iconic employers?

We are recruiting for a HR Business Partner to join our clients HR team on a permanent basis. This is a hands-on, operational generalist role.

The role is fully site-based, in Edinburgh City Centre with onsite parking available. However there will be a requirement to travel to additional offices in the Edinburgh and surrounding areas to attend meetings as required, flexibility is required.

What you'll do

  • Partner with senior leaders to shape and implement HR strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Provide expert advice on employee relations, performance management, and organisational development.
  • Support recruitment, talent management, and learning initiatives.
  • Involvement in HR projects.
  • Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies.
  • Drive positive change and continuous improvement across the business.

What we're looking for

  • CIPD Level 5 or equivalent HR experience.
  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally in a unionised environment.
  • Experience of leading complex ER cases.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and relationship-building skills.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and ready to take ownership of projects.
