Senior Social Worker Child in Need / Child Protection
Islington Council Pay up to £39.04 per hour Locum
Islington Council is seeking an experienced Senior Social Worker to join their Child in Need / Child Protection Team.
In this role, you ll manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring that children and families receive high-quality support and timely interventions. You ll complete thorough assessments, develop effective care plans, and work collaboratively with multi-agency partners to safeguard and promote the welfare of children.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is confident in court work, risk management, and relationship-based practice, and who is looking to make a real difference in a supportive, well-structured environment.
What You ll Need:
- Social Work England Registration
- Social Work Qualification
- Significant post-qualified experience in Child Protection and Child in Need work
- Strong assessment, planning, and report-writing skills
- Ability to manage complex cases and make sound professional judgments
