HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

MONDAY - FRIDAY: PM STARTS BETWEEN 13:00 - 20:00WEEKEND OVERTIME AVAILABLE£17.00 - £34.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in Coventry, West Midlands.

Rates of Pay• Basic: £17.00 per hour• Overtime after 9 hours: £21.25 per hour• Overtime on sixth shift: £34.00 per hour• All breaks paid

Day-to-Day Duties• Complete RDC or brewery deliveries with no handball (curtain-side work)• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured safely• Adhere to traffic laws, company regulations, and delivery schedules

Essential Skills• Valid UK Category CE Driving Licence• Minimum of 12 months' experience driving CE vehicles• No more than six penalty points (minor infringements only)• Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card• Good spoken and written English

Desirable Experience• Previous commercial driving experience• Experience in brewery deliveries is advantageous

Training Provided• Drivers must pass an assessment followed by a one-day paid induction• Industry-related training and ongoing support throughout
