Overview:
My client is seeking an experienced Consulting Engineer to deliver high-impact technical solutions across complex and diverse environments. This is a hands-on contract role that blends deep technical expertise with strategic thinking. You will lead deployments, shape low-level designs, and act as a trusted technical authority for clients and internal teams.

Contract Details:
Duration: 6 months (Long term program)
Day Rate: £400 - £450 PD - Inside IR35
Location: Scotland Based (Glasgow/Edinburgh/Aberdeen)
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end project delivery, from design through to implementation
• Take full ownership of technical issues, ensuring thorough diagnosis and resolution
• Deliver project engineering services including low-level design, implementation, and consultancy
• Act as an escalation point for complex technical incidents
• Troubleshoot and resolve network and security-related issues with precision and efficiency
• Mentor and support the development of other engineers

Requirements:

• Minimum CCNP-level Cisco certification
• Proven experience deploying at least 3 of the following in a production environment:
• Cisco Routers (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP)
• Cisco Switches (VTP, STP, VSS)
• Cisco Datacentre Switching (Nexus, VPC, VDC)
• Cisco Firewalls (ASA or Firepower)
• Cisco SD-WAN
• Cisco ISE
