Site Labourer / Van Driver

An established manufacturer of security shop fronts based in Birmingham requires an experienced site labourer / van driver.

Duties:

• You will be delivering shop front material to sites thoughout the UK in a 3.5 tonne van.
• Working in the factory when not required for driving.
• Collecting goods from suppliers.
• Ensuring vehicle is kept road worthy and safe at all times.
• On site you will be assisting the shop fitter using hand and power tools.
• Cutting wood to length, screwing in fittings, using an angle grinder and other hand tools.
• Removing all waste from site and disposing into allocated skips.
• This job involves manual handling and would suit someone with experience of site work.
• There are 1 to 2 paid nights out a week.

Requirements:

• Full UK driving licence with less than six points.
• CSCS card required.
• Advanced DBS check required.
• Delivery van experience.
• Labouring, use of hand and power tools, and manual handling experience.

Hours:

• Monday to Friday, 42.5 hours to 55 hours per week,
• Early starts.
• Overtime may be available.

This is a permanent position that starts immediately.
