Job Description

NXTGEN are working with a highly successful manufacturing business based in Peterborough to recruit a Finance Analyst. This newly created role will support a range of operational teams and stakeholders across the organisation, delivering insights and analysis that will help drive key business decisions. As Finance Analyst, you'll work closely with Procurement and Supply Chain teams to review and monitor costs, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies. You'll also partner with the wider Finance team to improve the quality of financial data flowing through the business, reviewing processes and exploring opportunities for automation. Working with large volumes of data across both Excel and Power BI, the Finance Analyst will also play a key role in constructively challenging and interrogating performance across business units.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Ownership of operational data trackers and the submission of consolidated reports
  • Act as a finance business partner within cross departmental meetings, providing financial insights and reports as required
  • Review current supply chain and procurement data, identifying opportunities for cost savings or operational efficiencies
  • Cost centre reporting including the review of budget and forecast performance
  • Contribute towards continuous improvement programmes, supporting automation projects
  • Ad hoc support of ESG reporting as required

The successful candidate will ideally be a part qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent) with a good analytical and commercial mind set. You will be confident managing large volumes of data and financial models to produce a wide range of reports. Any prior experience gained in Power BI would be significantly advantageous as would any previous experience gained within a Manufacturing or Production environment, although this isn't essential. To succeed in this role you will need to be confident dealing with a wide range of high profile stakeholders, with this position gaining particular exposure to operational colleagues. You will also have the opportunity to support in a range of ad hoc projects including process improvement and automation.

This is a fantastic opportunity for those candidates that are eager to continue their personal and professional development within a business that offers great visibility and career progression.
