The Role of Area Sales Manager
As Area Sales Manager, you will promote a leading range of heavy side building products driving demand for the company's construction building materials / products across your territory, focusing on regional sub contractors and (national and independent ) builders merchants. This is an exciting opportunity to represent a leading manufacturer known for quality, reliability, and innovation within the construction sector.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and developing relationships with national and independent builders merchants and contractors within the construction sector.
- Driving new business opportunities and expanding the company's presence across builders merchants accounts.
- Providing technical support and product guidance to contractors and builders merchants.
- Delivering product training and commercial support to ensure builders merchants recommend the company's solutions.
- Collaborating with the specification team to secure the company's products on construction projects.
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and construction sector developments to maximise sales opportunities

The Candidate for the Area Sales Manager role
We are looking for a motivated field sales professional with experience in the construction sector. Ideal candidates will have:
- Previous field sales experience within construction, either:
- Working for a construction manufacturer managing accounts with builders merchants or contractors, or
- Working for a builders merchant and looking to step up into a leading manufacturer role.
- Proven track record in account management, winning new business, and developing strong relationships with contractors and builders merchants.
- Strong understanding of the construction market and the buying behaviours of builders merchants.
- Energy, resilience, and a consultative approach to sales, with the drive to deliver results and grow demand.
The Package for the Area Sales Manager role
- 45,000 basic salary
- 20% bonus / OTE
- Hybrid company car
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
