Responsibilities: As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a crucial role in our clients finance department. Your key responsibilities will include:

Generating and sending accurate invoices and credit notes to customers promptly
Assisting Credit Control in monitoring customer accounts for non-payments and irregularities
Following up with customers on unallocated payments via phone, email, or mail
Posting customer payments and reconciling the AR ledger
Maintaining detailed records of accounts receivable transactions
Resolving billing issues and disputes professionally
Processing supplier invoices, matching purchase orders, and preparing payments
Monitoring and managing accounts payable ageing reports

Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):

Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and AR processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
Experience in the Manufacturing & Production industry
Familiarity with advanced accounting software
Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance standards

Technologies:
Microsoft Excel
Accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks)
