Role Responsibilities

As a History educator, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing and delivering a broad, balanced, and differentiated curriculum for students.

  • Monitoring and supporting the overall progress and development of students as a teacher/form tutor.

  • Facilitating a learning experience that allows students to achieve their individual potential.

  • Contributing to raising standards of student attainment and personal growth.

  • Engaging in operational and strategic planning, including lesson planning, resource development, and departmental contributions.

  • Participating in staff development and quality assurance processes.

  • Maintaining effective communication with students, parents, and other stakeholders.

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant undergraduate degree.

  • Possess successful teaching experience at the secondary level

  • Demonstrate high expectations and a commitment to equality of access for all students.

  • Have knowledge of National Curriculum requirements at KS3 and KS4.

  • Are adept at using ICT, including interactive whiteboards, to enhance learning.

  • Can work collaboratively within a team and maintain positive relationships with staff and students.

  • Exhibit excellent time management and communication skills.
