A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Greenwich is seeking a qualified BSL Teaching Assistant to join their supportive team from 3rd November. This rewarding role involves providing tailored one-to-one and small group support to pupils with hearing impairments, helping them to fully access learning and participate in school life.

The successful BSL Teaching Assistant will play a key role in supporting communication, building confidence, and ensuring pupils thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils using British Sign Language (BSL).

• Assist in delivering lessons and activities in partnership with the class teacher.

• Adapt materials and resources to meet the communication needs of pupils.

• Promote inclusion and engagement in classroom and social settings.

• Liaise with teachers, parents, and external professionals to support progress.

• BSL Qualification - Level 2 or above (essential).

• Experience supporting children or young people with hearing impairments.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• A patient, positive, and proactive approach to supporting learning.

• Understanding of safeguarding and SEN best practices.
