Job Description

Job Title: Planner - SC

Location: Burghfield, Reading (100% on site)

Contract Duration: 18 Months

Daily Rate: £59.03/hr (Umbrella circa)

IR35 Status: Inside IR35

Security Clearance: SC (must be eligible for DV clearance) Sole UK national

Minimum Requirement:

  • 2 5 years' planning experience
  • P6 Primavera
  • Adaptable
  • Strong stakeholder management at all levels
  • You need to understand planning and have experience delivering a project utilising the following: - network logic, float paths, WBS/CBS creation, possibly EVM, resource levelling, monthly update cycle, change control, What-If, Fragnets etc
  • Be able to make good judgement calls on planning.
  • Needs to understand the role of a planner, it s requirements each month and be able to deliver to the business rhythm.
  • Experience in highly regulated industry beneficial (nuclear/oil/construction)
  • Candidates need strong prioritisation skills and be able to focus on varied and changing priorities.
  • Good IT skills, including Excel as a must

Technology/Systems experience required:

  • Excel
  • Primavera P6

Desirable:

  • Highly regulated industry experience highly desirable

The Role:

To support delivery of the complete planning capability within the business by maintaining the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS). Supporting the Task Manager with business rhythms, schedule integrity, network analysis, Earned Value and communications with the programme and business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creation of the Work breakdown structure, Resource loading, Project level IMS (Integrated Master Schedule), and Project-specific basis of scheduling documents.
  • Input into the month-end process including Updating schedule progress. (EV percentage
  • complete), Undertaking schedule forecasting, Updating milestone status and critical path analysis, and Undertaking schedule performance review including EV variance analysis. (SPI)
  • Providing Planning input to Investment approval and Change Control process, Risk and Opportunity process, and Peer reviews.
  • Production of Planning and EV deliverables in accordance with the appropriate procedures and guidelines.
  • Proposing solutions and workarounds to address schedule performance issues.
  • Ensuring understanding of responsibilities and demonstrating appropriate behaviours in line with the Company s environmental, health, safety, security, quality and ethics standards
