Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location: Radstock, BA3
Salary: £40,500 £42,000 per annum + Overtime at enhanced rates
Shifts: Double Days (37.5 hours per week)

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a large, well-established manufacturer operating at the forefront of FMCG. Employing over 300 people on site, this is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop within a fast-paced and innovative engineering environment.

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of production equipment across the site. This position requires a proactive and driven individual who can fault find, maintain, and improve equipment performance while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carrying out planned and preventative maintenance routines.
  • Diagnosing faults and delivering corrective actions on a wide range of equipment.
  • Supporting shift teams with investigations into downtime, process, and quality issues.
  • Acting as incident coordinator during major breakdowns.
  • Taking ownership of materials and costs associated with engineering duties.
  • Supporting engineering projects and contributing to safety, productivity, and quality improvements.

About You

  • Recognised Electrical Apprenticeship, HNC, or equivalent (time-served candidates considered).
  • 17th Edition (or later) qualification.
  • Experience with single and three-phase systems, motors, controllers, and PLCs.
  • Ability to read circuit diagrams and fault-find down to PCB level.
  • Some knowledge of mechanical, pneumatic systems, or CAD would be advantageous.

  • Overtime: Time and a half (including Sundays at enhanced rates).
  • Shifts: Double Days (rotating early and late shifts).
