Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join their team in Cowes. This is a contract position with hybrid working arrangements, requiring four days per week on site. The role involves working on critical projects within a secure environment, ensuring the highest standards of engineering excellence and security compliance.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the electrical engineering efforts within the Maritime Services division
  • Developing, implementing, and overseeing electrical engineering projects
  • Ensuring all projects adhere to industry standards and security protocols
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives
  • Conducting detailed analysis and troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Preparing and presenting reports on project progress and status
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant technologies and regulations


Job Requirements:

  • Significant experience in electrical engineering
  • Detailed knowledge of power distribution networks
  • Strong technical knowledge of electrical systems
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and leadership abilities
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard tools and software
  • Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
