CLC Utility Services are looking for a Fitter - Small Plant & Machinery to join our busy Brentwood yard. This is a hands-on role where no two days are the same - from planned maintenance in the workshop to on-site repairs and breakdowns across our depots. You'll be part of a supportive team that values skill, initiative and a can-do attitude.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out both mobile and workshop repairs on small plant and machinery.
• Inspect, diagnose, and locate mechanical faults.
• Perform thorough preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Service excavators (up to 3 tonnes) and complete 8-weekly trailer checks.
• Maintain trailers and respond promptly to plant breakdowns.
• Follow all Health and Safety procedures and maintain excellent housekeeping standards.
• Record maintenance tasks efficiently using a tablet-based system.
• Operate and manoeuvre plant safely and competently.

The Person

• Experienced in working with small plant and machinery.
• Able to diagnose and repair faults efficiently.
• Skilled in welding (preferred but not essential).
• Holds or is willing to work towards a Cat C HGV licence (preferred).
• Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and reliable.
• Committed to maintaining safety and quality standards.
