Company Background:Our client is a total IT solution provider. They serve Small Medium Enterprise clients mainly located within Oxfordshire and the Thames Valley. They pride themselves on delivering a high level of expertise and customer service across their entire range of products and services that include network security, email and multi-site IT systems. The Technical team handle a wide range of support requests, project commissioning and presales technical enquiries.

Job Position Summary:Due to the ongoing success, we are looking to recruit another member of staff for the Technical team. The role will involve supporting the IT infrastructure of all our customer base including server, storage, network, data and applications in addition to project work to improve and enhance the customers infrastructure environment.

Key Responsibilities: Provide 3rd Line support to customers via telephone, email and remote control for the range of products and services that our client provides Monitor and troubleshoot customer environments using their support and monitoring systems Research, recommend, plan and implement infrastructure system projects Administer and maintain key client infrastructure, including Active Directory, Entra, LAN, WAN, Internet access, security and hosted Exchange. Take responsibility of issues, escalations and requests maintaining customer communication Diagnose and resolve customer problems Liaise with third party organisations Management of customer technical documentation, providing reports to the client and the company

The Person:

Ideally you will have a background in 3rd line technical consultancy working for a Managed Service Provider.You will have excellent communications skills and work well as part of a small team whilst being able to manage your own workload and time management. You will be enthusiastic with excellent problem-solving skills. You will have a desire to continue learning and developing your knowledge and skills maintaining a keen interest and passion for IT.

Skill Requirements: A minimum of 5 years' experience in providing 3rd Level IT support Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop, Office and Server environments Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to diagnose and resolve problems Good time management and prioritisation Initiative and self-motivated A professional working attitude To learn and develop new product knowledge and skill sets The ability to record and report with detailed technical documentation

Thorough knowledge of current IT technology including (but not limited to): Microsoft Windows Server 2019 -2025 Microsoft desktop OS Windows 10 and 11 Professional MacOS, Apple IOS, Android (Desirable) MS Active Directory DNS, DHCP and network services Microsoft Exchange 2010 -2019 Office 365/Azure/Entra/Hybrid including Defender, Intune and security policies Server Virtualisation (Hyper-V / VMware) Cloud services including Azure and AWS LAN/VLAN/WAN (routers, switches, Wi-Fi, firewall) Communications (VOIP, Leased Lines) Dell/HP Server Hardware Storage infrastructures SAN, NAS, DAS Backup and DR technologies (experience of Veeam and Datto) SharePoint management and support IT Security including data loss prevention, encryption, EDR, MDR, Unified Threat Management, 2FA

Education / Qualification:

Minimum of 5 GCSEs 2 A Level passes or equivalent Post-Secondary School education relating to IT, qualifications or training desirable Current Microsoft accreditation, MCSA desirable
