Role: Legal CashierLocation: Castleford, West YorkshireSalary: £25,000 - £28,000Contract: Full time, permanentA well-established and growing law firm based in Castleford is currently seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join its busy accounts team. Key Responsibilities:- Managing client and office accounts in compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Accounts Rules
- Processing payments, receipts, and transfers using legal accounting software
- Bank reconciliations and ensuring accurate record keeping
- Handling petty cash, billing, and expense claims
- Liaising with fee earners and external bodies to ensure smooth financial operations
- Supporting month-end and year-end processes
- Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting as required
- Previous experience working within accounts is essential
- Solid understanding of the SRA Accounts Rules
- Proficient with legal accounting software (e.g., Leap, Quill, or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
