Reach Truck Driver/Warehouse Operative

Our client located in Rochford is looking for a Reach Truck Driver/Warehouse operative to join their team.

Location: Rochford

Hours: 2 week alternating Rota - Week 1 Monday - Friday, Week 2 4 weekdays and 1 weekend day.

Salary; £28,730-£30,000 per annum

We are currently recruiting for a skilled and reliable Warehouse Operative with Reach Truck experience to join a busy distribution centre in Rochford. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their schedule and is comfortable working both weekdays and weekends on a rotating basis.

Due to the location, a valid UK driving licence and access to a car is essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift equipment to load, unload, and move materials within the warehouse
• Manage inventory using warehouse management systems accurately
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring timely and correct handling of goods
• Perform basic equipment repairs and maintenance checks on forklifts and other machinery
• Handle materials with care, ensuring proper stacking and storage in designated areas
• Support in organising stock levels and maintaining a clean, safe workspace
• Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse workflow and safety protocols
• Conduct routine inspections of equipment to identify potential mechanical issues early

Experience

• Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems and inventory control procedures
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic repairs on equipment
• Experience in materials handling, shipping & receiving, and heavy lifting tasks
• Familiarity with warehouse safety standards and procedures
• Basic maths skills for counting, measuring, and recording data accurately
• Prior experience working with warehouse equipment repair is advantageous but not essential
