We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong attention to detail and a solid background in cloud-based accounting systems. Proficiency in Excel, Sage, QuickBooks Online, and Xero is essential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with the following duties:
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing sales invoices
- Managing purchase invoices and petty cash
- Completing bank reconciliations
- Preparing VAT Returns across multiple schemes, including standard, cash accounting, flat rate, and marginal schemes
- Submitting EC Sales Lists
- Performing bookkeeping tasks required for year-end accounts preparation (e.g., payroll journals, fixed asset journals, loan reconciliations)
- Assisting clients with VAT-related queries and liaising with HMRC regarding submission deadlines or registration/de-registration changes
