Radio Technician - UK Field-Based
Full-Time Radio & Critical Comms Competitive Salary + Benefits
We're supporting a leading organisation in the mission-critical communications sector as they look to add an experienced Radio Technician to their field team. If you're skilled with two-way radio systems and enjoy hands-on work across varied sites, this role will keep you challenged and progressing.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Installing and commissioning TETRA, P25, DMR, UHF/VHF and analogue systems
  • Deploying antennas, repeaters, base stations, combiners and RF hardware
  • Performing RF testing, diagnostics and coverage checks
  • Working with IP-based radio infrastructure, dispatch consoles, routers and gateways
  • Conducting preventative and reactive maintenance
  • Producing accurate site reports and documentation
  • Supporting clients directly while ensuring all safety standards are met
What You'll Bring
  • Strong experience with two-way radio systems
  • Solid understanding of RF principles and system architecture
  • Field-based installation and commissioning background
  • Proficiency with RF test equipment
  • Ability to read technical diagrams and schematics
  • Great problem-solving skills + full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel to client sites
Nice-to-Haves
  • Basic IP networking knowledge
  • Experience with Motorola / Sepura / Hytera / Tait equipment
  • CSCS/ECS card
  • RF safety cert
  • Working at height certifications
