Ensure the Hardware team delivers to the Engineering Project Manager designs and technical solutions which are competitive, verified, validated, and satisfy all internal or external customer requirements. Ensure all Quality Procedures are implemented and followed to ensure that all activities within the Engineering Function are fully compliant with the quality management system. Work with the Head of Product to review, maintain and develop engineering tools, software and processes that meet current and future products and business requirements. Manage resource planning and the effective utilisation of your engineering team to meet customer and business requirements. Identify Engineering skills and capability gaps within the team and implement appropriate strategies to enhance and develop these (focusing both on present and future demands). You will be educated to degree level or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline or STEM subject and have previous experience in managing engineering teams to deliver to agreed time, cost and quality requirements. A qualification in Project Management is also desirable. You will ideally be a Chartered Engineer or currently working towards Chartership.
