Interim Corporate Asset Manager

I am currently working with a West Midlands Authority who are looking for an experienced Corporate Asset Manager to join their team on an interim basis, while they recruit to the role permanently.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead on the strategic management of a diverse public sector asset portfolio and make a real impact.

Key Details:

Day Rate: £400 - £475 per day (inside IR35)

Location: West Midlands

Working Pattern: 2 days per week in office, otherwise remote

Contract: 3-month rolling contract

Qualification: MRICS essential

The Role:

As Corporate Asset Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and optimising the council's portfolio of assets.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and monitor the full asset portfolio to maximise value and performance

Develop and implement strategies for asset acquisition, maintenance, and disposal

Ensure compliance with all legal, safety, and corporate policies

Track and report on financial performance, valuations, and risk across the portfolio

Maintain accurate asset records and robust reporting systems

Work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to drive operational efficiency
