Job Description

There is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to join a forward thinking and growing tax practice at a pivotal stage in its development. As a Corporation tax you will play a key role within a dynamic and collaborative tax team, working closely with partners and senior leaders to help shape the future direction of the tax function.

As Corporate Tax Manager, you will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of corporate clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services while acting as a trusted advisor. You will lead complex tax projects, support business development activity and provide leadership and mentoring to the wider team. This role offers a strong balance of technical challenge, client interaction and leadership responsibility, with the opportunity to influence strategy and processes across the tax department.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing a diverse portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring high quality compliance and advisory delivery
  • Leading complex tax projects, including international tax planning, group restructurings and mergers and acquisitions
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to clients, building strong relationships and identifying opportunities for additional services
  • Reviewing and approving corporate tax computations and returns prepared by the team
  • Providing technical guidance, mentoring and performance feedback to team members
  • Keeping up to date with tax legislation and proactively sharing insights with clients and colleagues
  • Contributing to the strategic direction and ongoing development of the tax practice
  • Supporting business development initiatives and representing the firm at client meetings and industry events

Applicants will be CTA qualified or ACA qualified with substantial relevant tax experience. You will be highly organised, capable of managing competing priorities and proficient in tax software, with a solid understanding of wider financial and accounting principles.
