Scheme Project Manager Rail / Civil Engineering

Our client, a well-respected Civil Engineering Contractor based in Glasgow, is seeking a Scheme Project Manager to join their growing team. You will be instrumental in the delivery of the Access for All programme, managing civil and structural renewal works across Scotland s rail network.
The RoleYou will be responsible for the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of projects, including:
Leading all Health & Safety activities on site
Providing clear leadership and direction to site teams
Coordinating works to meet programme deadlines and client requirements
Managing project delivery in line with approved plans, budgets, and targets
Implementing and overseeing procurement schedules, productivity trackers, and outputs
Identifying, managing, and mitigating project risks
Driving value engineering opportunities through design and development
Preparing and presenting formal project progress reports
Managing subcontractors and associated performance
Undertaking additional engineering duties as required
Proven experience as a Project Manager, Senior Engineer, Sub Agent, or Site Manager
Background in civil engineering, ideally within rail, structural, or heavy civil projects
Qualified to HNC/HND level or above
Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, designers, and stakeholders
