Ethos Education is seeking a talented French specialist for a highly regarded Grammar school in the West Kent area. This is a maternity cover position starting in February 2026 with a potential leadership opportunity arising shortly after.

Leadership Opportunity
From March 2026 there is an opportunity for an experienced QTS French teacher to take on a TLR as the Maternity Head of French. This is an excellent chance to gain leadership experience in a high achieving academic setting.

The Curriculum
The department delivers a broad languages curriculum from KS3 through to A Level. For the French provision they follow the AQA specification at both GCSE and Key Stage 5.
Support for ECTs
Applications are welcome from Early Career Teachers. You will receive a reduced teaching load, dedicated mentoring sessions, and a full induction programme.
Location and Access
The school is situated within walking distance of major rail hubs with direct links to London. It is also easily accessible via the A21 for those commuting by car from South London or across Kent.
