Job Description
Our client, a specialist in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a GUI Software Engineer to join their team in Hampshire on a contract basis.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing efficient real-time systems
- Understanding and applying new and emerging technologies
- Developing new features for the Electronic Warfare suite of software
- Contributing to diverse projects spanning domains such as Array Processing, Communications, and Sensors
Job Requirements:
- Expertise in GUI and GUI Design
- Proficiency in C# for user interface development and associated services
- Competence in C++ for services and DSP
- Experience with unit and system testing
- Familiarity with modern DevOps practices, including version control and continuous integration
Desirable Skills:
- Experience in developing UI for scientific or technical applications
- Knowledge of WPF for user interfaces
- Experience with SQL databases
- Understanding of modern communication protocols, e.g. REST / Websockets
- Knowledge of the latest Software Defined Radio (SDR) platforms
- Awareness of electronic warfare principles
