Job Description

IT Support Engineer - Middlesbrough - 12 month contract (2 days a week)

We are seeking a reliable and proactive IT Support Engineer to join our customers team on a part time basis. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on technical skills who can provide on-site support and ensure smooth operation of IT systems within the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and deploy PC hardware and software.
  • Set up and configure printers, including networked and standalone devices.
  • Perform routine IT support tasks, including password resets and user account management.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
  • Provide friendly and professional support to end users.
  • Ensure all installations and changes follow internal processes and security standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed via the service desk or ticketing system.
  • Assist with general IT maintenance and updates as required.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an IT support or similar technical role.
  • Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and common business applications.
  • Ability to install and configure PCs and printers confidently.
  • Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK and travel to the Middlesbrough site.
