Job Opportunity: Senior Planning Enforcement Officer

Our client, a public sector organisation based in Romford, Essex, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Planning Enforcement Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. This exciting role offers an hourly rate of 35 and the chance to make a significant impact in the community!

Key Details:
Contract Type: Temporary (3 months with potential for extension)
Hourly Rate: 35 per hour (Umbrella)
Location: Primarily remote, with 1-2 days per week in Romford for site visits
Driving Required: Yes (Council pool cars provided)
Working Pattern: Full-time, with occasional evening or weekend work

Your Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of over 100 alleged breaches, including investigations and site visits.
• Serve enforcement notices and maintain evidence of notices served.
• Write appeal statements and represent the council at hearings or inquiries.
• Collaborate with the Team Leader and colleagues for ongoing support and training.

What We're Looking For:

• Experience in dealing with the public, Councillors, and responding to MP enquiries.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
• Excellent record-keeping abilities to ensure compliance and evidence standards.
