Job Description
We are seeking enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable Qualified Primary Teachers (QTS) to work across a range of primary school settings throughout South Derbyshire. These roles offer flexible opportunities including day-to-day supply, part-time, and full-time placements, making them ideal for teachers seeking work-life balance or varied teaching experiences.
You will have the opportunity to work across EYFS, Key Stage 1, and Key Stage 2, delivering engaging lessons and ensuring continuity of learning in the absence of the class teacher.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
Follow school lesson plans where provided, adapting confidently when required
Maintain effective classroom and behaviour management
Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
Assess and support pupil progress throughout the school day
Work collaboratively with school staff to support daily routines
Uphold safeguarding policies and promote pupil wellbeing
Demonstrate flexibility and professionalism across different school settings
Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
Experience teaching within UK primary school settings (EYFS, KS1, or KS2)
Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and routines
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
