Salary: £24,000 - £38,000 DOE and level
Location: Ripon (Hybrid working available)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm, 1 hour for lunch

We re recruiting on behalf of a growing and successful business based in Ripon that is expanding its logistics function. They re open to hiring either a Logistics Planner or a Logistics Manager, depending on experience.

This opportunity would suit someone already working in logistics, or someone keen to get into logistics who has the right attitude and transferable skills. You will join a forward thinking business where your input will be valued and your career can grow.

The role

You ll be responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of bulk and bagged commodity movements, including import and export activity. For more experienced candidates, there is scope to take full ownership of the logistics function and, over time, progress into managing people as the department grows.

Key responsibilities:

• Planning and booking bulk and bagged deliveries, including import and export

• Negotiating rates and terms with logistics providers

• Managing logistics and contractual obligations within purchase and sales contracts

• Liaising with internal teams including trading, accounts, and operations

• Communicating with customers and suppliers regarding collections and deliveries

• Recording and reconciling stock levels

• Processing logistics invoices

• Producing reports on logistics activity

• Maintaining relevant industry accreditations

• Delivering a high level of service to suppliers and customers

At Planner level:

• Organised, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Looking to build on existing logistics experience or looking to start a career in logistics

• Analytical, driven and confident communicating

At Manager level:

• Experienced in end-to-end logistics planning and execution

• Comfortable taking ownership of a logistics function

• Confident negotiating contracts and improving processes

• Interested in helping shape and grow a department over time

What we re looking for

• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle (due to location)

Salary will be offered between £24,000 and £38,000 depending on experience and level.
