Key Responsibilities:
- Sourcing and purchasing packaging materials in line with company requirements
- Negotiating with suppliers to secure cost-effective and quality packaging solutions
- Collaborating with internal departments, including marketing and logistics, to ensure packaging meets all standards
- Maintaining strong supplier relationships and managing vendor performance
- Analysing market trends to make informed purchasing decisions
- Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies
- Monitoring packaging inventory levels and managing stock replenishment
- Preparing reports on purchasing activities and presenting findings to senior management
Job Requirements:
- Experience in a buying or procurement role, ideally within the retail or pharmaceutical sector
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Ability to analyse market trends and supplier performance
- Understanding of packaging materials and compliance requirements
- High level of attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualification is advantageous
