Job Description
Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a management accountant for a fantastic organisation in Plymouth. This role forms part of a friendly finance team where you will deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial planning, reporting, and forecasting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver budgeting, forecasting, and monthly management reporting, including variance analysis
- Support the development of business plans and monitor performance against budgets, contracts, and partnership arrangements
- Act as a key liaison between Finance and operational teams, providing clear financial advice and guidance to non-Finance stakeholders
- Support senior stakeholders with integrated financial plans, forecasts, and submissions
- Provide high-quality financial analysis to support effective decision-making
Systems & Controls
- Administer and continuously improve core Finance systems
- Ensure strong financial controls, data integrity, and fit-for-purpose reporting structures
- Lead on system support, training, and process improvements, including the move towards automated reporting
Additional Responsibilities
- Support costings and business cases
- Prepare reconciliations and financial data to enable accurate invoicing and payments
- Contribute to regulatory and statutory financial returns
- Undertake ad-hoc financial analysis and attend meetings as required
This role is ideal for a confident Management Accountant who enjoys working closely with stakeholders, improving systems and processes, and delivering meaningful financial insight in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be formally qualified (CIMA, ACA, ACCA) with great business partnering skills.
