EL / PL Claims Handler

This is not a "backfill" role.

This is the first of its kind in the business.

An award-winning Insurance Broker is continuing its impressive growth and have recently moved into brand-new offices just outside Leeds city centre. The investment is obvious the moment you walk in - modern, high-spec, and designed to be a place people actually want to work.

Now they're building out their Liability capability - and this is where you come in.

The Opportunity

You'll be the first dedicated EL / PL Claims Handler in the business.

Initially, you'll take ownership of the EL/PL caseload currently handled by the Claims Manager, freeing them up to focus on leadership and strategy. As the role evolves, you'll play a key part in cross-training the wider Claims Team, helping them become multi-skilled across both Motor and Liability claims.

This is a role with visibility, influence, and trust from day one.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Handling a varied caseload of EL & PL claims from notification through to settlement
  • Working closely with the Claims Manager, with genuine mentoring and support
  • Acting as the internal point of reference for Liability claims
  • Helping to upskill colleagues in EL/PL, strengthening the whole team
  • Being involved in shaping how Liability claims are handled as the function grows

What They're Looking For

  • Around 1+ year of EL / PL claims experience (more is welcome, but this isn't a senior-heavy role)
  • Someone confident, organised, and comfortable taking ownership
  • A team player who enjoys helping others improve - not guarding knowledge

Formal qualifications aren't essential. Attitude, capability, and ambition matter more.
