Senior Assurance Analyst

This role is largely remote with travel to London, Manchester, Peterborough, Stoke or Chesterfield when required.

We're looking for a Senior Assurance Analyst to play a key role in delivering our annual assurance plan and strengthening our risk and compliance framework across the business.

This is a hands on role covering the full assurance lifecycle from planning and testing through to reporting and follow up. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to identify risks, agree remediation actions, and drive continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the delivery of the annual assurance plan by identifying risks and designing effective testing approaches
  • Plan, execute, and document assurance reviews, producing clear and insightful reports
  • Collate and analyse testing results and present findings to key stakeholders
  • Work collaboratively with business areas to agree robust remediation actions and track progress
  • Maintain accurate assurance records, including updating the Risk Management System
  • Support senior management with high-quality risk and compliance reporting
  • Build strong working relationships across the Group, following up on actions and escalating where needed
  • Support the development of team capability and promote a collaborative, professional culture

Skills, Experience & Knowledge:

  • Experience working in an assurance or audit role
  • Strong understanding of testing approaches and assurance methodologies
  • Knowledge of audit, assurance, and risk management frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong planning, organisation, and attention to detail
  • Confident communicator, able to influence and engage stakeholders
  • Self sufficient, proactive, and comfortable working with remote teams

Desirable:

  • Experience in IT audit, data or information governance, or risk management
  • Knowledge of FCA regulatory requirements and/or the insurance sector
  • Experience working closely with senior management
  • Relevant professional qualifications (ICA, IRM, IIA) or willingness to work towards them
