Fire Risk Assessor
Location: London (covering London)
Salary: £47,496 - £51,500 per year
Contract: Permanent Hours: 35 hours per week
Hybrid: Site and home working
About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Fire Risk Assessor to join a Fire & Security/Compliance team delivering FRAs across a diverse residential portfolio. You'll complete life-safety inspections, produce high-quality FRA reports, and support secondary inspections of pre- and post-remedial works to ensure safety standards are consistently met.
What You'll Do
- Undertake Fire Risk Assessments, audits, inspections and surveys to policy and procedural standards.
- Produce and maintain clear, evidence-based reports, ensuring inspections and remedial actions meet KPIs.
- Carry out secondary inspections on pre- and post-remedial works to verify compliance and quality.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address service gaps and improve delivery.
- Raise awareness of fire risks and promote best-practice measures across the portfolio.
- Contribute to the wider compliance function (eg, coordinating FRA programmes and action tracking).
About You
- Qualified to Fire Risk Assessor Level 4 (FPA) or currently working towards it.
- Candidates with a lower-level FRA qualification and strong practical experience who are willing to complete Level 4 will also be considered (sponsorship available).
- Original certification will be required at interview (copies/CSCS cards not accepted).
- Recent experience as a Fire Risk Assessor/Fire Risk Surveyor/Fire Safety Officer.
- Proven track record conducting FRAs (ideally in social housing or construction).
- Working knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, relevant legislation, and good practice.
- Strong time-management skills and experience working to deadlines.
- Confident with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel as required.
