Solution Architect (MongoDB, AWS, APIs) - Glasgow and remote - 10 months+/RATE: £437.5 per day inside IR35

One of our Blue Chip Clients is urgently looking for a Solution Architect (MongoDB, AWS, APIs).

For this role you will need to be onsite in Glasgow 2-3 days per week.

Role Description:

- Hands on Solution Architect with strong expertise in MongoDB, AWS, APIs, and Operational Data Stores (ODS) - able to operate confidently across both high level architecture and low level design and implementation.
- Must bring immediate productivity with no learning curve - prior demonstrable experience designing and delivering solutions in streaming and ODS environments is essential.
- Expected to design, build, and validate end to end solutions, not just provide architectural oversight.
- Able to drive PoCs, prototypes, solution demos, and hands on technical spikes, ensuring architecture decisions are validated in practice.
- Comfortable switching between conceptual architecture, detailed solution design, and implementation guidance for engineering teams.
- Contribute to and support architecture governance processes:
o architectural distribution reviews
o standards compliance
o approval board submissions
o adherence to patterns and guardrails
- Ensure decisions align with organisational guidelines and help uphold the architectural integrity of the corporate streaming & ODS pillar.
- Strong communicator who can confidently engage with senior stakeholders, engineering teams, and cross functional partners due to the high visibility of the role within the bank.
- Expected to operate autonomously, managing expectations, articulating design rationale, and ensuring alignment across teams.
