Storage & Backup Engineer x2 - UK Wide
Salary: £47-52,000 per annum + permanent benefits + on-call
Clearance Required: Eligible for Security Check (SC)
About the Role
We're looking for a skilled Storage & Backup Engineer to join a growing Infrastructure team supporting multiple high-profile clients. This is a forward-looking role that blends operational responsibility with opportunities to contribute to project and transition work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Providing BAU support for SAN and backup environments
- Managing end-to-end backup configuration and resolving failed backups
- Maintaining documentation and preparing management reports
- Implementing approved changes following client change management processes
- Managing disaster recovery testing and tape management/rotation
Skills & Experience We're Looking For
- Familiarity with SAN switch management commands (Brocade and Cisco)
- Experience with storage management software
- Knowledge of HP and EMC storage technologies (PowerStore, Isilon, ECS, Unity)
- Hands-on experience with Brocade and SCAN and Cisco Switches
- Familiarity with ServiceNow (SNOW) for Incident/Change Management
- Experience using Veritas NetBackup
- PowerShell/Python Scripting
