Production Manager - Bury St Edmunds - 40-45K (DOE)

I am currently recruiting on behalf of my client, based on the outskirts of Bury St Edmunds who are seeking a Production Manager to join their team. This is a business with ambitious plans for growth with a role is perfect for someone really wanting to make a difference and stamp their mark.

Salary: 40-45k (DOE)

Hours: Monday - Friday (08:00-17:00)

Holiday: 23 days + Bank Holidays

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) for a range of Production tasks.
• Oversee the day to day workload of Production Operations, ensuring efficiency and quality are maximised.
• Ensure Health and Safety standards are upheld and maintained in line with regulatory requirements and ensure risk assessments are updated.
• Identify opportunities in which process improvements can be made.
• Monitor inventory levels.
• Train, develop and mentor the team, ensuring employee reviews and training are done to improve the teams skills.
• Collaborate with HR on recruitment, ensuring suitable staffing levels are in place.

What are we looking for?

• Previous experience in a Production Management role.
• Cool, calm and level headed with the ability to motivate and mentor a team.
• A strong passion for continuous improvement with the ability to think creatively about solutions.
• Previous experience of working in Lean Manufacturing environments.
• Excellent Leadership and communication skills.
