Location: South Wales (fully remote working available and open to out of region hires)

Salary: £50,000 - £100,000 guide. Highly competitive and flexible, depending on experience and size of book

About the Company:

This role sits within a well-established insurance brokerage that forms part of a fast-growing insurance group with significant recent investment. The group has a strong track record of scaling specialist insurance businesses, combining MGA capability, delegated authority arrangements, and direct broking strength. The business is now investing heavily in expanding its corporate proposition, creating a rare opportunity to build something meaningful from the ground up in the South Wales area.

Role Summary:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proven Commercial Account Executive / Corporate Account Executive to play a pivotal role in launching and growing a new corporate division. This is a "first-in" hire, inheriting an existing corporate book while being given the autonomy, backing, and infrastructure to grow a larger commercial client base. The role is well-suited to a hands-on, growth-focused Account Executive who thrives on new business and wants to shape the future direction of a developing corporate arm.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inherit and manage an existing corporate portfolio, providing continuity and strong client relationships

• Proactively develop new business, targeting larger commercial risks and higher-value accounts

• Grow and transition a personal book of business into the wider corporate division

• Work closely with internal underwriting and placement teams to structure and place complex risks

• Collaborate with senior leadership to help define the strategy, processes, and long-term vision of the corporate function

Portfolio & Opportunity Detail:

• Inherited a small book of Corporate Clients circa £300k-£500k GWP (approximately £90k-£150k income)

• Expected personal book growth from business plan or existing clients

• Target risks typically £5,000+ GWP, including commercial combined risks up to £20m.

• Broad sector focus not restricted to but open to industry specialty areas

Support & Infrastructure:

• Dedicated back-office Account Handler support

• Access to a specialist internal underwriting team for larger and complex risks

• Placement capability across a wide breadth of insurers, MGAs, and delegated schemes

• Agile decision-making and direct access to leadership, a genuine alternative to large corporate brokers

Requirements:

• Strong track record as a commercial "hunter" Account Executive, with demonstrable new business success

• Experience handling and growing corporate or larger commercial insurance portfolios

• Commercial confidence to operate autonomously while contributing collaboratively to a growing team

• Ability to bring or transition an existing book of business

• Hands-on approach this role is delivery-focused rather than purely strategic
