Expleo is proud to be supporting a leading automotive manufacturer in delivering excellence across their production vehicle lines. We're currently looking for a Wind Noise Attribute Engineer to join our team and support the monitoring and optimisation of wind noise performance in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to work at the heart of the production process, acting as the voice of the customer to ensure vehicle quality meets the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and minimise variability in wind noise performance across current production lines
Serve as the in-plant representative for wind noise, ensuring the attribute meets its targets through various assessment methods (e.g. objective measurement, subjective drive evaluation, static checks)
Perform initial root cause investigations on deviations and drive issues through to resolution with responsible teams
Collaborate closely with the core aeroacoustics team to understand upcoming launches and key attribute characteristics
Support ongoing quality improvements and integration of attribute learnings into future product launches
Requirements
Experience in an automotive production plant quality role
Proficiency in engineering problem-solving methodologies such as Six Sigma, 8D, or Root Cause Analysis
Valid UK driving licence with confidence in subjective vehicle attribute assessments
Working knowledge of plant attributes such as Squeak & Rattle, Wind Noise, and Water Test procedures
Familiarity with NVH (Noise, Vibration & Harshness) development, vehicle testing, or component development
Desirable:
Understanding of vehicle launch processes and quality control in OEM environments
Able to interpret measurement data and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Additional Information
Flexibility to travel between sites is required
Role is on-site, supporting production directly with some cross-functional interaction
Ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work in fast-paced environments and problem-solving on live production issues
PLEASE NOTE To meet with current legislation, right to work checks will be carried out to ensure candidates can work in the UK. Regretfully, we are unable to support applications that require sponsorship.
