We are seeking a Full time (10 PA per week) Consultant Psychiatrist to join the newly formed Specialist Adult Mental Health Service within the Lewes Neighbourhood, East Sussex.

Main duties of the jobThe team is gradually moving to a Neighbourhood model, where secondary care works in close collaboration with GPs, East Sussex Wellbeing, third sector services and other local partners, to offer the right help in the right place and by the right professional, reducing the excessive and inappropriate demands on specialist services.
Towards the same aim, we have implemented fully New Ways of Working for psychiatrists and will soon introduce the post-CPA recommendations of NHSE and a new Electronic Patient Record system
About usWe offer annual Job Planning to review the needs of the professional and the service and plan accordingly the timetable of activities and objectives for the next year.
Job responsibilitiesIt is envisaged that the post holder will work 10 programmed activities over 5 days.
The overall split of the programmed activities is 7.5 to be devoted to direct clinical care and 2.5 to supporting professional activities.
