Senior Production Manager Multi-Site (Remote / UK)

About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced Senior Production Manager to lead operations across six sites, overseeing a workforce of approximately 230 staff in the chemical, petrochemical, oil & gas, LNG, LPG, and terminal COMAH sectors. This is a home-based role with responsibility for multiple UK sites.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead multi-site operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and customer requirements.
Guarantee all site activities are performed safely, effectively, and in full compliance with HSE, COMAH, COSHH, ISO, and other regulatory standards.
Drive a proactive safety culture with zero lost-time accidents, engaging with Branch Safety Committees and implementing loss control programs.
Maintain rigorous quality standards for cylinders and products, ensuring ISO 9001 and Gas Standards compliance.
Plan, direct, and oversee maintenance activities to ensure facilities meet output and quality targets safely and within budget.
Lead operational improvement initiatives, driving continuous improvement, productivity savings, and total cash fixed cost efficiency.
Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Healthcare teams to ensure customer service levels meet or exceed expectations.
Develop and implement employee engagement strategies, fostering a motivated, inclusive, and high-performing workforce.
Manage operational budgets, track monthly performance, and ensure asset management and documentation are accurate and up-to-date.
Qualifications & Experience:
Degree in Engineering, Science, or equivalent HNC/HND.
NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of the UK compressed and liquefiable gases market, engineering principles, gas production technologies, and pressure systems.
Experience with regulatory compliance including MHRA, PSSR, COMAH, HAZOP, and ISO standards.
Proven transformational leader with experience in unionized environments, talent development, and stakeholder engagement.
Strong financial acumen, with experience in cost control and CAPEX management.
Track record of implementing lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives.
Excellent communication, resilience under pressure, and the ability to align stakeholders with strategic goals.
