Private Client Solicitor (0-2 PQE) - Wills, Probate & Estate Planning

A well-established, full-service regional law firm with multiple offices across the South East is seeking a Private Client Solicitor (0-2 years PQE) to join its growing Wills, Trusts & Probate team based in Banbury.
This is an excellent opportunity for a junior Solicitor to develop their career in private client law, working alongside an experienced and supportive team within a firm known for delivering high-quality client service.
You will inherit an existing caseload of private client matters while also supporting the continued growth of the department.
The Role
As a Private Client Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of matters including:
- Drafting Wills and estate planning documentation
- Probate and estate administration
- Inheritance tax and succession planning
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPA)
- Advising on mental capacity issues
- Court of Protection applications including deputyships and statutory wills
- Trust creation and trust administration
- Advising executors, trustees, attorneys and deputies on their duties and responsibilities
- Supporting clients with cross-border estates and complex family matters
You will work closely with colleagues across the firm and maintain strong relationships with clients during sensitive and often complex matters.
About You
The firm is seeking a Solicitor who is passionate about private client work and committed to providing excellent client care.
You will ideally have:
- 0-2 years PQE as a Solicitor in Private Client/Wills & Probate
- Experience or training in Wills, Probate, Trusts, Estate Administration or LPAs
- Excellent communication and client care skills
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Ability to manage your own caseload with appropriate supervision
- An interest in developing expertise in tax planning and Court of Protection work
STEP membership or working towards STEP would be beneficial but is not essential.
