You will collaborate closely with the Service Coordinator and wider ecommerce team to maintain high-quality product listings, optimise pricing strategies, and support customer communications, helping to deliver a seamless and efficient buying experience. Key Responsibilities: Assisting the sortation team to identify high-spec laptops, desktops, and other IT equipment suitable for resale. Harnessing data science and AI - including pioneering applications of natural language processing in this field - we make previously unstructured, siloed data easier to find, understand, and act on. We are a team of policy experts, engineers, data scientists, product thinkers, communicators, and operators. We are looking for an experienced individual to own how external document collections are structured, integrated and maintained with CPR's systems as we scale. This is a core strategic role within the Programmes team, working cross-functionally across the organisation. At its heart, the role sits at the intersection of document collection curation, organisation, and aggregation. You will define and govern CPR's document ingestion processes and metadata schema requirements, working closely with Product and Engineering on implementation, and with subject matter experts and Partnerships and Operations on provider onboarding and relationship management. You will ensure that document collections are integrated into CPR's systems in a way that is structured, consistent, scalable, and usable for search and analysis. What You'll Do: Lead the aggregation of external document collections into CPR's systems, ensuring they are structured, consistent and usable. Define, apply and maintain metadata standards, schema requirements, taxonomies, and controlled vocabularies, translating organisational and product needs into clear requirements for Engineering implementation. Evaluate and onboard new sources and datasets. What You'll Bring: At least 10 years of professional experience, with at least 5 years of experience managing large or complex digital document collections. You will work closely with our Principal Ecologist and assist in building a team of talented and passionate professionals who share our vision of innovation, scientific research and a forward-thinking approach to biodiversity. As a Senior Ecologist, you will collaborate with teams from different disciplines, such as planning, engineering, and design, backed by an Ecology Team that will support you. You will support our existing partnerships with various water utilities, pursue new opportunities, and aid our lead ecologist in expanding our client base. You will manage complex ecological issues within a project context, such as conducting ecological surveys and assessments, designing and implementing ecological mitigation and enhancement measures, and applying for and obtaining protected species licences. You will also mentor junior staff and help them develop their ecological skills and knowledge. You will have the opportunity to work with autonomy, grow professionally, and participate in training and networking events. About You You will hold a minimum BSc degree in ecology or a similar environmental discipline. You will have experience working in a consultancy or similar environment and a deep understanding of UK and EU wildlife legislation and policy. Your skills lie in conducting detailed assessments such as PEAs, ECIAs, and ecological chapters and contributing to HRAs. Familiarity with UKHab classification and the Defra Metric is essential. You will possess a protected species survey license for at least one species (e.g., great crested newt, bats) and have experience with protected species licensing. You will also be experienced in managing projects, budgets, and client relationships. Strong communication, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential.
