You will be responsible for production planning, and you will be supported by three very capable shop floor Supervisors who are responsible for different areas. About 50% of our machinery and equipment is manufactured for stock, and the other 50% is bespoke machinery or re-engineered to the clients' exact specification - you will be challenged to help improve the functionality of our production facility. You will lead the weekly production meeting with Team Leaders and also report to other Managers and Senior Managers on a regular basis. You will report directly to the Managing Director. RESPONSIBILITIES: Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Engineering Manager- Engineering, Manufacturing As our Production Manager, you will : Have responsibility for the successful production and despatch of products to customers Oversee production planning and procurement to ensure parts, components and raw materials are available when needed - so production isn't disrupted Have accountably for reviewing WIP and closing WIP jobs down fully when they're completed Manage production time sheets to ensure production accuracy Support your Supervisors to resolve production issues and manage the shop floor teams Develop and lead the production facility - you can delve into the world of continuous improvement here, but applying a hands-on approach to management where needed REQUIREMENTS: Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager, Engineering Manager- Engineering, Manufacturing You will have proven work experience as a Production Manager, Controller, Coordinator or similar from an engineered, industrial or machinery manufacturing environment We are open on the machinery or equipment you have been involved with producing - but we will give preference to your background if it's Automotive, Special Purpose Machinery, Vehicles or Industrial You will be commercially minded and will focus on customer needs, understanding the impact that your production department can have on the overall business THE COMPANY: Part of a Global group, we design and manufacture our own special purpose machinery and equipment. We supply machines and equipment to the National Grid / Power Grid & smaller energy contractors. We also supply into multiple industry sectors such as Civil Engineering & Telecoms, so you'll be joining a very stable business within solid industry sectors.
