Your new role As a Handyperson based at Willow Gardens in Rowley Regis, you will play a key role in maintaining the day-to-day operation, safety and presentation of the building and its grounds. Working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, you will carry out a wide range of general handyperson and caretaker duties, including minor repairs, internal decorating touch-ups, cleaning in response to spills or accidents, porterage and assisting with deliveries. You will support the management team by completing weekly and monthly fire alarm tests, community alarm tests, water flushing and health and safety inspections, accurately documenting outcomes and reporting any faults or concerns. You may also be required to undertake driving duties and provide handyperson support to other council sites across the borough when needed, while working both independently and as part of a wider team.
